The tool

Your hotel’s floor plan, place by place

Every room, every shared space and every service area has its own record, with everything that has happened there.

Type #204 in a shift note, a ticket or a lost item, and the place is created on the spot, gathering everything about it. The floor plan shows at a glance where things are moving, between tickets still waiting and items not yet returned.

Included with any subscription, whatever the number of tools you choose. See pricing.

What the tool does

A place isn’t a record to fill in ahead of time: it’s born the first time someone writes it, and then shows up wherever it’s mentioned.

A place created by typing #

Type #204 in a shift note, a ticket or a lost item: the place is created if it doesn’t exist yet, and linked to it if it does.

The floor plan

Rooms, shared spaces and service areas sit on the row for their floor, each with its own marker.

One record for everything

Shift notes, maintenance tickets and lost items for the same place all show up together, along with its stable notes: faces the courtyard, temperamental heating…

Coloured by what needs attention

A place’s marker takes the colour of whichever is more urgent between its pending tickets and its unreturned items, without opening its record.

Included with any subscription

Writing #204 anywhere creates and links the place, including on the free plan. The floor plan that brings them all together comes with a subscription.

  • The #place tag works from the shift log itself, even on the free plan.
  • The floor plan, the overview of every place, is included with a subscription, whatever the number of tools chosen.
  • No form to fill in beforehand: a place is born the first time it’s written.
  • Shift notes, tickets and lost items for the same place brought together on its record.

Questions about places

Do I need to set up every room before I start?

No. The first place is created the moment someone types #204 in a shift note, a ticket or a lost item. There’s no list to prepare beforehand, and no form to fill in first.

Is the floor plan available without a subscription?

No, that’s the only part that comes with a subscription. Writing and tagging a place with #204, on the other hand, works from the shift log itself, including on the free plan.

Can a place be renamed once it has already been mentioned in older notes?

Yes, but its code (#204) never changes: notes already written keep tagging it correctly. Only the displayed name, for example “Junior Suite”, can be corrected from its record.

What happens to a place that is no longer used?

It gets deleted. Notes that mentioned it keep their tag, with a note that it has since been deleted: nothing your team already wrote is rewritten.
